Garlinder is located in the municipality of Feldthurns in the Eisack Valley in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol and was founded in 2003. The family owned farm is run by Christian and Veronika Kerschbaumer, who are supported by their parents. The vineyards cover 4.2 hectares of vineyard area. They only use grapes from their own production, 92% of which are the white wine varieties Sylvaner, Grüner Veltliner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Grigio and Gewürztraminer, and 8% of the red wine variety Pinot Nero. Since the year 1999, organic and ecological cultivation has been carried out according to the rules of Bioland. The wines are fermented spontaneously and aged mainly in large wooden barrels made of acacia and oak wood. The product range includes, among others, various wines from the DOC areas Eisacktaler (Valle Isarco) and South Tyrolean. Garlinder Trentino produces approximately 30,000 bottles of wine annually.
